Friday Fun Day

Our summer is slowly winding down . . . next week is on halt because of jury duty . . . then vacation . . . and then I'll have a 1st grader on August 3! Therefore we tried to cram as much into one day as possible!

We started off the fun with the dentist!! Okay, that's not actually fun but it was neccesary! Thankfully no cavitites! Mason did have a loose tooth that the dentist politely offered to pull and Mason quickly declined! He managed to wiggle it free by the end of the day and this time I did not lose it!! The tooth fairy promptly delivered $3.75 as he slept!

After the dentist we went to pick out bunk beds for the boys! They were so excited! Next Chick-fil-a where they were terrible!! I am sure everyone was glad to see us go as we were loud and obnoxious and terrorizing people in the playground!

Next we headed to Sci-Port.  Conner had won free tickets a few months ago at a hockey game and he had never been.  We've only been to Sci-Port once before, Mason & I, and I'm still undecided as to whether or not I like the place but the boys had a great time!  But a note to parents who send their kids to day camp there, apparently they have like one 15 year old helper per 20 kids so your kids run amuck and knock people down!

Using more levers and pulley's to load bricks

After a really long day we headed home worn out but always ready for whatever the weekend holds!

Summer Reading Awards

Thursday was the library's annual Summer Reading Awards Day! This is the first year we participated in the Summer Reading Program and we were very excited to go! I thought the boys would love it because they are all about cowboys & Indians and the main attraction was "real Indians!"  However, Conner aka Davy Crockett informed me that "I don't like Indians, Davy Crockett shoot Indians and I Davy Crockett."  At this point I feared a little for the Indian's safety especially since he asked to bring his pistol with him!

Thankfully no one was harmed! And the rain dance did bring a few spinkles so that was good!

Mason was very proud of his medal! Conner was not so proud that he wanted to pose for pictures, afterall he had pizza and Sprite to tend to!

SO PROUD OF MY LITTLE READERS!

Happy Jungle Day 4th Sip Celebration!! And other random events!

Been so busy enjoying life (and occasionally writing philosophy papers for school!) that blogging has taken a third row seat! But I certainly don't want to look back at Summer 2011 and think we sat at home all day in our pajamas . . . that was just today! :)

Here's My Big Buck Hunters getting ready for a Cold Weather Expedition

VBS Program - Big Jungle Adventure!
Mason did not want to be up there so I had to come up and of course Conner had to come with me! He spent the entire program eating the straps of my dress while Mason trying to hide inside my dress so I spent the entire program trying not to reveal myself to the entire church!

Happy 4th of July!
I was very proud of my strawberries!

Dad & Mom and Mrs. Renee with baby Faith

the boys taking a swim!

SMOKE BOMBS!

Conner has taken to chewing on things again (remember my dress at VBS?) -
usually it is his shirt or his fingers!

Precious Eden was at my house for her Sip n See!!
Loved having Holly, Holly, Missy, Kandy, and Lauren over for the weekend!

Conner finally uses the potty and wears underwear 24/7 (well except when he's naked, which is often!)!
We celebrated with a Potty Party at Chuck E. Cheese!
Thanks Mimee & Papa for celebrating with us!

YEA CONNER!!

We got to babysit sweet Faith again!
The stranger on the left with the pistol ready is none other than Davy Crockett!

We also took the boys to see Cars 2.  That was Conner's first ever movie theater experience . . . not sure he'll have another for a while! We didn't get thrown out and that was good but he wasn't all about sitting still and being quiet! Mason actually doesn't like Cars and he wasn't impressed with Cars 2 either.

So here is to a fun and busy summer!! Our beach countdown is almost to single digits and we can't wait! First I have to get past jury duty next week!
